Building Changes Receives Federal Recovery Act Grant
Building Changes, with its office in Seattle, works to end homelessness in Washington State. In partnership with the public and private sectors, they provide grants and consulting services and advocate for long-term solutions. Jeff Raikes, Gates Foundation CEO, recently rallied the business community to support the needs of the homeless. In a
recent keynote speech before Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce members, Raikes cited the accomplishments of Building Changes and their Washington Families Fund partners. Building Changes’ work has also been recognized on a national level. In September, they received a $1 million federal
Recovery Act grant, which will be used to increase job training and employment opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.
